52nd St- “Look Into My Eyes” This one is a gift for all who don’t know it. A really rare British Boogie record from 1982. An in demand, rarey seen 12”. A couple of great Disco DJs flipped out when they saw I had this. Sorry, no trade. 52nd St went on to have some 80’s R & B classics, but to me, this is their joint. Released on Manchester UK’s Factory Records, they sounded little like the label’s other groups (i.e. New Order). Instead of being somber, pale, skinny white boys, like the rest of the label, 52nd St were an all Black group more in the tradition of American R&B/ Boogie acts of that time. Enjoy..
